The "No Oven Needed" Series
Join us for the 3rd season of The Penn State Cooking Classic, a free four-week virtual cooking program brought to you by Penn State Colleges and Campus Alumni Societies, in collaboration with the Penn State Alumni Association. Tune in each Wednesday in February at 7 p.m. ET for hour-long, no-oven-needed recipes - where each week, we tackle making dishes with various cooking devices. New this year, we will wrap up the hour with Coffee Corner featuring suggestions for coffee pairings.

Wednesday, Feb. 1
“What a Game”
On Wednesday, Feb. 1, we will kick off our series using a slow cooker and dehydrator. Joshua Helsley '13 EMS will share his Game Day Chili recipe that he makes in his Crockpot. And Abigail Kaiser '16 Schuylkill will share her expertise in making venison jerky. The Coffee Corner will feature tips from the Saxbys Coffee student CEO.

Wednesday, Feb. 8
“Grills and Gills”
On Wednesday, Feb. 8, our session will feature barbeque grills and smokers, where Alex Mears will talk about deep sea fishing and share fish-smoking techniques. And then Joel Gill '09 IST will demonstrate desserts on the grill. Our Coffee Corner will feature an Irish coffee recipe from Joel.

Wednesday, Feb. 15
“Gain Some Self-eSTEAM”
On Wednesday, Feb. 15, will feature the pressure cooker as Kim Cooper '11, '17g HHD, World Campus prepares a shrimp and asiago risotto in her InstantPot and Rebecca Skotek '16 HHD will whip up chicken avocado wontons with a yogurt lime crema in her air fryer. Our Coffee Corner will feature tips from Natalie Keller '17 AGR.

Wednesday, Feb. 22
“No FRY Zone”
On Wednesday, Feb. 22, our season 3 series of Cooking Classic will wrap up with “Britney Breaks Bread” blog host Britney Brown '14 HHD showing us how to make a healthier coconut shrimp recipe in an air fryer and Penn State Harrisburg Chef Athan Spanos making fresh pasta using a pasta maker. The Coffee Corner will feature tips from Good Day Café
